I've been searching for a Ghost Glass Frog since 2012!! This tiny frog has the most incredible eyes I've ever seen. The long wait was worth it.

Here's a new and previously unposted image of a Red-Webbed Tree Frog (Hypsiboas rufitelus). It's been so hard to choose photos from my recent three-week trip to Costa Rica to make the Top Ten List because I had so many incredible photo opportunities this year but this one was too cute to ignore.

This little guy was a highlight of my summer. What a personality!
He was about 1 year 8 months at the time of this photo. I'm a bit concerned about his mom since she's usually a regular visitor but I didn't see her after the end of June. Unfortunately they face many threats especially from people that live in bear country that don't want to coexist. They let fear affect their behavior instead of educating themselves on how to live with bears.

If I had to chose my top favorite this year, this would be it and it looks like I'm not the only one! This has become one of my most sold images produced in 2017. Florida Burrowing Owlet tilting its head trying to figure out the position and distance of things around him - in this case - me!
